The Book Guardians - London, 1985.
Frankie Walsh keeps a struggling bookshop afloat and spends her nights feeding strangers, until a sixteenth-century volume appears and time starts looping like a story with a mind of its own. The shop bell rings when the door is locked. Notes arrive warm as candlewax. A man in the fog calmly records her name.
Then the Book writes back and Frankie realises she is not discovering this nightmare, she is remembering it. Trapped in a three-night countdown she has lived before, she must outplay the Watchers who police the loop, a charming thief who may be her only ally, and a rival determined to force the world into her preferred ending. The only escape is the choice the Book has demanded all along: stop sacrificing herself, and lock time shut for good.

My writing explores the intersections of magic, heritage, and the human heart. I am drawn to stories of transformation, complicated love, and characters whose brightest qualities sit very close to their darkest impulses.
